Is the last used date as seen in the output file from the DSPOBJD command accurate.  Can I use this date to ascertain if an object has been used in the last 5 years?  I see a number of objects with a last used date (field - ODUDAT) that is blank.  What would reset this date?   Thanks for any help on this.

I think if you've done a system upgrade and/or O/S upgrade since an object was last used then you will see a blank date. We did a system upgrade mid-last year, and I have some objects with blank "Last used date" that I know were used a year ago.

The last used date can be effected when an object is restored too.

So you believe the last date can be counted on except in these conditions?  I see that a recompile sets the date to blank also.  This is very helpful.  Thank you

A restore or recompile replaces the object which impacts the last used date. The other date to consider is the creation date when monitoring usage.
