Hi All,

Using iNav, I want to see a tables attributes.

Connection->Databases->MyDb->Schemas->MyLib->Tables

This library has most of the tables so the list is large.  If I want to position to a file that starts with SPR... it takes a long time to actually get to this file on the list.

Does anyone know another way other than using the scroll bar?

Thanks,

Robert Rogerson

Hi Robert:

1. Highlight 1 file.
2. While highlighted start keying the name of the file you want to position to.
3. you're done

Best of Luck

Thanks Gary.  I followed your instructions and after I type in the first letter the cusor changes showing processing.  But when I regain control the list is still positioned in the same place.  If I try to scroll down it freezes until more tables are added to the list.

I am on iNav V7R1M0

Sounds like something may be up with your navigator. It does take a while for all the tables to load but once it is done it should be very quick. I can use the scroll bar to quickly get where I need to go or after selecting a table and then start typing it jumps to exactly what I am typing.

Could it be a preference?  I can't find one.

Could anyone on V7R1 (client access V7R1M0 client on Windows 7) confirm if this is working correctly for other people.

Thanks,

It appears that my V7R1 iNav,, accessing a V7R1 system, is behaving the same way as yours.

Cheers,

Emmanuel

For closure on this issue, I downloaded and applied the Service pack for V7R1 (here) and it does give me access to the whole range of tables as described by users on previous versions.

Emmanuel, great name, that is name of my son.  Emmanuel Alexander...
